This is to inform you of a critical update by SASO regarding the shipment clearanceprocedures for goods entering Saudi Arabia.

Effective January ist, 2025, it will be mandatory for all shipments to obtain both aCertificate of Conformity and a Shipment Certificate issued through Saber platform toensure clearance of shipments. This aims to ensure the quality and safety of importedgoods and compliance with SASO’s requirements.

Undertaking letters will no longer be accepted for customs clearance, also issuance ofSABER certificates after the shipment's arrival will be considered a violation andCertification Body will be fully accountable.
