The Saber platform is an online system launched by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) dedicated to managing and issuing product clearance certifications to ensure that goods imported into Saudi Arabia comply with the country's regulations and standards. The platform aims to improve the efficiency and transparency of product certification and help importers and manufacturers simplify the customs clearance process.
Importers and manufacturers can register their products on the Saber platform and apply for the required Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
Saber PCOC (Product Certificate of Conformity): used for certification of a single product batch to ensure that the product meets Saudi standards.
Saber SCOC (Shipment Certificate of Conformity): used for certification of specific shipments to ensure that the transported goods meet Saudi standards.
IECEE: International Electrotechnical Commission Electrical Product Conformity Testing and Certification System, used for the certification of electrical and electronic products.
G Mark: used for product certification in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries.
SFDA: Saudi Food and Drug Administration certification for products such as food, medicine and cosmetics.
Water Efficiency Label: Saudi water efficiency label certification for water-saving products.
The Saber platform is interoperable with Saudi Arabia's fasah customs system to ensure that certification information is seamlessly connected to the customs system and improve customs clearance efficiency.
All steps of application, review and issuance of certification can be completed online on the platform, simplifying the process and reducing manual intervention.
